GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE (GTC)
Last updated: July 22, 2026
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) govern sales between Refection and any consumer making a purchase on the website.
Article 1 — Seller’s Identity
Refection is a sole proprietorship operating under the micro-enterprise regime. Name: Justine Delorme — Trade Name: Refection Address: 59 rue de la République, 42000 Saint-Étienne SIRET: 10348617100012 Email: refection.upcycling@protonmail.com VAT not applicable, pursuant to Article 293 B of the General Tax Code.
Article 2 — Purpose
These Terms and Conditions define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the online sale of products offered by Refection. Placing an order implies unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Article 3 — The Products
The products sold by Refection are handcrafted in a workshop located in France. Each product is made by hand using selected textiles that are then transformed through an upcycling process. Most products are one-of-a-kind; some may be produced in very small batches.
Due to their handcrafted nature, slight variations in color, texture, or finish may exist between the photographs displayed on the website and the product delivered. These differences are part of the artisanal character of each creation and do not constitute a defect.
Article 4 — Availability
Products are offered while supplies last. A creation sold as a “one-of-a-kind” item cannot be reproduced identically. In the event of exceptional unavailability after an order has been confirmed, the customer will be notified as soon as possible and fully refunded.
Article 5 — Prices
Prices are listed in euros (€), including all taxes. VAT does not apply in accordance with Article 293 B of the General Tax Code. Shipping costs are displayed before the order is finalized. Products are billed at the rate in effect at the time the order is confirmed.
Article 6 — Order
The customer selects the products they wish to purchase and confirms their order after reviewing their shopping cart. The order becomes final upon confirmation of payment. Refection reserves the right to refuse an order in the event of a prior dispute with a customer or suspected fraud.
Article 7 — Payment
Payment is due immediately upon placing the order, via Shopify Payments or any other specified payment provider. Payments are secured by the providers used by Shopify.
Article 8 — Manufacturing and Shipping
Preparation times are indicated on each product page when they differ from standard lead times (see Shipping Policy). Orders are shipped as soon as possible after confirmation. Refection cannot be held responsible for delays attributable to the carrier.
Article 9 — Order reception
The customer is asked to check the condition of the package upon receipt. Any issues (damaged package, damaged product, order error) must be reported within 48 hours by email, along with photographs.
Article 10 — Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the customer has a statutory period of fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of their order to exercise their right of withdrawal.
Products must be returned unworn, unwashed, in their original condition, with their tags and accessories. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, unless otherwise stated. Refunds are issued under the terms specified in the Returns and Refund Policy.
The fact that a design is sold as a one-of-a-kind item does not exempt it from the right of withdrawal. In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, only a design that is truly custom-made after the order is placed and according to specific specifications requested by the customer (for example, a non-standard size or a specifically requested modification) may be excluded from the right of withdrawal. Where applicable, this will be explicitly indicated on the relevant product page prior to purchase.
Article 11 — Legal Warranties
The products are covered by the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) as well as the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code), independent of any commercial warranty.
Article 12 — Use and Care
Each product is accompanied, where necessary, by care instructions. Refection shall not be held liable for any damage resulting from improper care.
Article 13 — Intellectual Property
All products, photographs, texts, images, designs, and graphic elements on the website are the exclusive property of Refection. Any reproduction or use, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written authorization.
Article 14 — Personal Data
The personal data collected is used exclusively for order processing, customer relations, and Refection’s legal obligations, in accordance with the GDPR. The customer may exercise their rights via: refection.upcycling@protonmail.com
Article 15 — Mediation
In the event of an unresolved dispute, the customer may, free of charge, seek the assistance of the consumer mediator designated by Refection: CM2C — 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris — Tel.: 01 89 47 00 14 Website: https://www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php — Email: litiges@cm2c.net
Article 16 — Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought as a priority before any legal proceedings are initiated.
